10 Refined Products Pipeline Construction

The TEPPCO Co-Lay pipeline project consisted of the installation of 10 refined product (propane, butane, gasoline and distillate) pipelines of varying diameters (from 6-in to 30-in) to service the newly constructed TEPPCO Tank farm facility in Port Arthur, Texas. From Motiva Port Arthur Refinery to the TEPPCO Tank Farm, seven pipelines were installed in the same ditch for approximately 5 miles. 

Three co-laid products pipelines were installed from the TEPPCO Port Arthur Refined Products Terminal to the TEPPCO Beaumont Terminal for approximately 9 miles. Two co-laid products pipelines were installed from the TEPPCO Port Arthur Refined Products Terminal to the Explorer Tanking Facility. 

PCS Scope of Work

PCS’ responsibilities included project management, project controls including maintaining and managing project schedule and budgets, materials procurement management (developing RFQ packages, bid tabs, and requisition documentation development), pipeline design engineering, and construction management.
